Who this is for

People who still train hard — and who noticed that the first thing to go wasn't strength or speed. It was recovery.

Same workout. Same diet. Three days to clear instead of one. Sessions skipped not from lack of motivation, but because the last one is still in your legs.

Most of our customers are between 40 and 65 and have already fixed the obvious things. Their training is consistent. Their bloodwork is clean. The recovery still isn't there.

Who it isn't for: if you're recovering fine between sessions, you don't need this. Plenty of people at 45 genuinely don't have this problem. We'd rather say so than sell you something.

What's in it

Concentrated Montmorency tart cherry. That's the whole formula.

  • Anthocyanins — the compounds the recovery research is built on. Published protocols run from 15mg to 2,760mg daily; ours is listed on the label.
  • Naturally occurring melatonin — present in the fruit and concentrated along with it. We don't add synthetic melatonin, and we don't need to.

No fillers. No proprietary blends. No sweeteners. Vegan.

If a supplement won't tell you its dose, that's the answer to your question.

How it works

Three steps, and we'll stop where the evidence stops.

1. Tart cherries carry melatonin in the fruit itself — it isn't added during manufacturing, and it concentrates when the fruit does.

2. Melatonin is the signal that tells the brain the sleep door is open. It doesn't force sleep. It signals for it.

3. A randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial gave adults tart cherry concentrate for seven nights. Total sleep time went up. Sleep efficiency went up. And urinary melatonin metabolite went up — meaning the signal actually landed, rather than being asserted on a label.

Where we stop: that trial measured total sleep time and sleep efficiency. It did not measure slow-wave sleep specifically, and we're not going to tell you it did. Small sample, healthy adults, juice concentrate. It's a clean study, not a large one.

How to take it

One serving in the evening, with food. Every night, not just on training days — the research protocols dose daily, not around workouts.

Published trials run 3 to 19 days, most commonly a 7 to 10 day window. If you have a hard block or an event coming, starting 4 to 7 days ahead matches how the studies were run.

It's food, not a sedative. You don't need to time it to bedtime and you won't feel it come on.

Talk to your doctor before starting if you're pregnant, nursing, on medication, or managing a health condition.

What actually broke

Recovery went first. Not strength. Not speed.

Someone on Reddit put it better than any brand has: think of your body as a factory. When you were 25, a wall came down overnight and a full crew cleared the rubble by morning. Now there are fewer workers, less material in storage, and the corridors are narrower. Same damage. Longer repair.

Most of that repair happens while you sleep. Which is why the thing wrecking your recovery isn't happening in the gym — and why nothing in your gym bag has ever touched it.

  • Tuesday's workout is still in your legs on Thursday
  • You skip a session — not from lack of will, but because the last one hasn't cleared
  • You need a nap after training that you never used to need
  • You wake through the night and never feel like the system reset
  • Bloodwork clean. Training consistent. Still going backwards.

You've already tried most of this

None of it is wrong. All of it works from the outside in — on tissue you can reach with your hands.

Foam rolling

Foam rolling

Genuinely useful on tissue. You already know exactly where it stops working.

Works from the outside in.

Stretching

Stretching

Before, after, both. It keeps you moving. It doesn't change what happens overnight.

Doesn't reach the repair window.

Ice baths

Ice baths

Forty minutes of setup for a ten-minute sit. Most people quit on the logistics, not the science.

Dies on friction.

Hot tub & heat

Hot tub & heat

Feels good that evening. Nothing carries over to Thursday.

Relief, not recovery.

Training less

Training less

Dropping to 2x a week works. It's also the thing you were trying not to do.

A workaround, not a fix.

Soreness supplements

Soreness supplements

The entire aisle is selling you sore quads. Ask yourself honestly whether soreness is your actual problem.

Solving the wrong thing.

What this actually does

The part of recovery you can't reach with your hands

A small red fruit grown on family farms, harvested over about seven weeks a year, and concentrated down until what's already inside it is worth measuring.

This is the only supplement in the category where the mechanism was measured going up, rather than asserted on a label.

  • Tart cherries carry melatonin in the fruit — not added in a factory
  • Melatonin is the signal that opens the door. It doesn't force sleep, it asks for it.
  • A placebo-controlled trial measured longer total sleep and better sleep efficiency
  • And measured the melatonin metabolite rising — the signal landed, it wasn't just claimed
  • Seven of fourteen trials also showed better strength recovery after hard exercise
  • Four seconds a night. No setup, no cleanup, no ice.

What to expect — and what not to

  1. Night 1

    You take it with dinner

Nothing dramatic happens. That's the honest version, and anyone telling you otherwise is selling.

  2. Nights 3–7

    The trial window

Seven nights is where the study measured longer total sleep and better sleep efficiency.

  3. Weeks 2–3

    The only question that counts

Not whether you're sore. Whether you're going again tomorrow.

  4. Week 4+

One line item, not the whole plan

Alongside sleep, protein, hydration and real rest days. Not instead of them.

60

Keep the bottle. Shipping it back would cost you time you already told us you don't have.

Frequently asked questions

Including the ones that don't flatter us.

Isn't this just melatonin with extra steps?

No. This is concentrated Montmorency tart cherry — the whole fruit, not an isolated compound. Melatonin is present in the cherry naturally and concentrates along with everything else. We don't add synthetic melatonin, so you're not taking a fixed pharmacological dose of it.

If a plain melatonin tablet worked for you, keep taking it. It's cheaper.

There's no secret. It's sleep, food and not drinking. Why would I need this?

You're right, and we're not going to argue. Sleep, protein, hydration, real rest days and not drinking will out-perform anything in a bottle.

We're the fourth thing on that list, not the first. This is one input that supports the fundamentals you're already doing — it doesn't replace them, and any brand telling you it does is lying to you.

Will it help my joints?

We're not going to claim that. Joint conditions are a medical matter and we won't pretend a fruit concentrate addresses them.

What we can say is what the research supports: sleep duration and quality, and post-exercise muscle recovery. If you have joint pain that's limiting you, that's a conversation for a doctor or a physio — not a supplement label.

What doesn't it do?

Worth reading before you buy.

  • It won't lower your inflammation markers. Across eleven studies measuring creatine kinase, none found a significant effect. We're not building a campaign on something the data doesn't support.
  • It won't improve your athletic performance. Only four of ten studies showed any improvement. Mixed at best.
  • It won't make you 25 again. The strength recovery numbers are real and modest: roughly 91% versus 85% at 24 hours against placebo. Meaningful. Not miraculous.
Will it make me groggy in the morning?

It shouldn't. This isn't a sedative and it doesn't contain one — there's no dose of anything designed to knock you out, so there's nothing to shake off the next day.

That's rather the point. The complaint we hear most about sleep aids is the morning after.

When do I take it and how long until it does anything?

One serving in the evening with food, every night — not just training days. The published protocols dose daily, not around workouts.

Trials ran between 3 and 19 days, most commonly a 7 to 10 day window. If you have a hard training block or an event coming, starting 4 to 7 days ahead is how the studies were run.

What if it doesn't work for me?

Then email us within 60 nights and we'll refund you in full. Keep the bottle.

Some people won't respond, and we'd rather say that than pretend otherwise. If you're already recovering well between sessions, you probably don't need this at all.
